The Middle School program at Lev Jewish Academy prepares students to successfully transition from the elementary years to the academic and personal challenges of high school. In a warm, nurturing, and supportive environment, students thrive through a rigorous dual curriculum that combines academic excellence with a deep commitment to Modern Orthodox Torah values, helping them grow into confident learners, compassionate leaders, and engaged members of the Jewish community.
We recognize that the middle school years are a pivotal stage in a child’s development. Our program is thoughtfully designed to support students academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually while encouraging independence, responsibility, and intellectual curiosity.
As a Modern Orthodox Jewish Day School, our Judaic Studies program challenges students to engage deeply with Jewish texts and traditions. Students strengthen their knowledge and analytical skills through the study of Chumash with Rashi, Navi, Mishnah, Gemara, Halacha, Jewish History, Hebrew language, and daily Tefillah. They are encouraged to ask thoughtful questions, think critically, and discover the relevance of Torah learning in their everyday lives. At the same time, our challenging General Studies program prepares students to excel in competitive high schools through rigorous instruction, collaborative learning, and meaningful use of technology.
Leadership and responsibility are woven throughout the Middle School experience. Students lead tefillah, read from the Torah, deliver Divrei Torah, participate in chesed initiatives, and take active roles in schoolwide programs and commemorations. These experiences foster confidence, strengthen Jewish identity, and prepare students to become leaders within both the Jewish community and the broader world.
